Using the negation with ne....pas

The popular negation in the French langauge deals with (ne....pas). This negation is used a lot in the french language. Even though other negatations are used in the French language, this negatation is important to use (ne...pas).

The meaning for ( ne....pas) means- not

However, here are a couple of examples to use with (ne...pas)

First example

Je manage aujourd'hui. - I eat today

Let's use ne...pas with this sentence. It is important to put ne before the verb manager, and put pas after the verb manager.

Je ne manage pas aujourd'hui. - I didn't eat today

One would probably ask me- what about with two verbs. The negatation will be still in the same position. Let's use a sentence

First example with two verbs

Je vais écrire cette papier. - I am going to write

vais is a verb, but it's conguated by the verb (aller)! The verb-(écrire) is the second verb in the sentence. Let's use the negation with ne...pas in the sentence. When there are two verbs in the sentence,ne.... pas still goes in the same place before and after the first verb.

Second example with two verbs with negation

Je ne vais pas écrire cette papier. - I am not going to write that paper.
